Flight from Fairbanks to Thule on 4 April
- NA CO: Possible plume encounter towards Thule at about 7-9 km altitude, slightly southerly deviation required, small amounts of BC possible towards SE
- EU CO: lower-magnitude elevated plume at 5-6km altitude near 95E, plume moving to NW across flight track, moving north-westerly on downstream side of stratospheric filament. No BC tracer predicted in flight area
- AS CO: leaving large Asian plume on the way out from Faribanks until 115E. Plume moving to ESE. Maximum at 6-7km, extending to the surface. No strong BC tracer predicted in flight area, but some might be present in the column
- BB CO: some concentration throughout the track, W of 115W max arount 6-7km, partly up to 10km. E of 100E max at 5-6km.
- Met conditions: southerly flow at low levels, thin streamer, recircled NA air S of GL. Return flight probably mostly cloud-free.
- STEM forecasts: aged US, European, and African dust moving into Iclelandic region
- MORZART forecasts: similar to stem: BC and OC at high alt over Fairbanks
- GMAO forecasts: Siberian BB on 6 April over Alaska. Mixing at downstream side of statospheric filament?
